Dortech Doors is a subsidiary of Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd, a company with over 30 years of trading experience in the architectural aluminium glazing industry. Our story is one of innovation, commitment, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Our Journey: A Vision Born from Experience and Necessity 

Our journey began with a personal and transformative experience. When our Managing Director, James Sutherland’s home was broken into, he decided to turn this moment of vulnerability into an opportunity for innovation. “The creation of Dortech Doors was not just a business endeavor for me; it was a personal mission. I wanted to ensure that no one else would have to experience the vulnerability that comes with a home intrusion. Our doors are a testament to our commitment to security, quality, and thermal efficiency,” reflects James.

James envisioned a product that combined aesthetic elegance with unparalleled security and thermal efficiency. This vision gave birth to Dortech Doors—front doors that are not only visually stunning but also stand as a bulwark of security and thermal efficiency.

They are ideal for the unpredictable British weather with water tightness to 150Pa and wind load resistance to 1600Pa, but they will also offer a warm welcome to your home. They have an impressive thermal efficiency as low as 1.05W/m2K, thanks to the innovative thermal break at their core. Each of the doors in this range is designed to perform up to a maximum leaf size of 1400mm x 3000mm and will comply with all current building standards. We rigorously test each and every one of these doors to offer you an extended life cycle while still sourcing materials from a reputable supplier. The Enhanced Doors are made with the environment in mind, aiming to reduce transport miles and source local recycled materials where possible.

Over half of the extruded aluminium used within the Extended Doors range comes from UK extruders, which minimises our transport emissions. Homeowners will appreciate the full range of RAL colours on offer. However, if you have a specific colour you’d like for your home, we can use our bespoke service to colour match your new door. There’s even the option to have dual colour doors with different interior and exterior colours.
